Princeton College of Pharmacy, through its NSS Cell, organized a Road Safety Awareness Programme on the occasion of the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims – 2025, as a part of National Pharmacy Week–25. The programme was conducted on 19th November 2025 at the Seminar Hall, PCOP, in association with the Transport Wing, Brahmakumaris Silence Retreat Centre. The event was thoughtfully organized to honor the victims of road traffic accidents while reinforcing the importance of road safety, responsibility, and respect for human life.
The primary objective of the programme was to create awareness among students about road safety rules, responsible driving behavior, and ethical conduct on roads. The session emphasized the alarming rise in road traffic accidents and highlighted how negligence, lack of discipline, and disregard for traffic regulations contribute to the loss of valuable lives. Students were sensitized to the need for mindfulness, patience, and alertness while using roads, whether as drivers, riders, or pedestrians.
The resource persons delivered insightful and impactful talks focusing on safe road practices, preventive measures, and moral responsibility. They explained the serious consequences of rash driving, over-speeding, drunk driving, and distracted driving, while stressing the importance of helmets, seat belts, and adherence to traffic signals. Special emphasis was placed on the role of youth as responsible citizens in promoting road safety and influencing positive behavioral change in society.

The programme witnessed active participation from students, who engaged attentively in the discussions and reflected on their personal responsibility toward road safety. The interaction helped students understand that road safety is not merely about rules, but about valuing human life and showing compassion toward others.
Overall, the Road Safety Awareness Programme successfully conveyed the message of remembrance, responsibility, and commitment toward safer roads. The initiative reinforced social responsibility among students and strengthened Princeton College of Pharmacy’s dedication to community service, safety awareness, and nation-building through meaningful NSS activities.
