National Pharmacy Week is a significant occasion that recognizes the indispensable role of pharmacists in the healthcare system and emphasizes their contribution to ensuring the safe, effective, and rational use of medicines. In observance of the 64th National Pharmacy Week, Princeton College of Pharmacy organized a vibrant series of academic, professional, and extracurricular activities from 16th to 22nd November 2025, centered around the theme “Pharmacists as Advocates of Vaccination.” This theme highlighted the expanding responsibility of pharmacists in public health, particularly in educating communities about immunization, disease prevention, and vaccine safety.
The week-long celebrations were thoughtfully designed to promote both professional excellence and holistic student development. Academic events such as essay writing and elocution competitions provided a platform for students to enhance their research abilities, critical thinking, and communication skills while expressing their views on contemporary healthcare challenges. Alongside academics, a variety of sports and indoor games including chess, shuttle, and carrom fostered teamwork, strategic thinking, and healthy competition among students.
A key highlight of the celebrations was the road safety awareness programme, which reinforced the importance of social responsibility and community engagement. Through this initiative, students actively participated in spreading awareness about safe practices, reflecting the pharmacist’s role as a responsible healthcare professional beyond the pharmacy setting.
