On December 6th, 2024, Princeton College of Pharmacy proudly organized a National Workshop on Clinical Research and Clinical Data Management, bringing together students, academicians, and industry professionals for an enriching and knowledge-driven event. The workshop aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical applications in the growing fields of clinical research and data management, which are critical components of modern pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.

The workshop began with an inaugural ceremony, attended by respected dignitaries, faculty members, and students from various pharmacy institutions. The keynote address was delivered by an experienced clinical research professional, who highlighted the growing demand for skilled professionals in clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, and regulatory affairs.

Participants were introduced to key concepts such as protocol design, informed consent, ethical considerations, data collection tools, case report forms (CRFs), and the role of clinical data management in ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Hands-on training sessions were also conducted, allowing students to gain exposure to industry-standard software and practices used in managing clinical trial data.

Experts from the pharmaceutical and CRO (Contract Research Organization) sectors shared real-world experiences and career guidance, encouraging students to explore opportunities in clinical research, which continues to be a rapidly expanding field in India and abroad.

The workshop concluded with an interactive Q&A session, followed by the distribution of certificates of participation to all attendees. Feedback from participants reflected a high level of satisfaction and appreciation for the practical insights and interactive learning format.

This national-level workshop underscored Princeton College of Pharmacy’s commitment to offering industry-relevant training and exposure, preparing students for future roles in the clinical research and pharmaceutical sectors. It was a valuable step toward academic excellence and professional readiness.
