International Women’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy at Princeton College of Pharmacy on March 8, 2026, in a vibrant and memorable manner. The institution organized the event to recognize, honour, and appreciate the invaluable contributions, achievements, and strength of women in all walks of life. The celebration reflected the college’s commitment toward promoting women’s empowerment, equality, and mutual respect within the academic community.
The event began with a warm gathering of faculty members, staff, and students, who came together to mark the significance of the day. A special cake-cutting ceremony was conducted as the opening activity of the celebration. This symbolic gesture represented unity, appreciation, and collective respect for womanhood. The joyful atmosphere during the ceremony created a sense of togetherness among all participants, and everyone enthusiastically joined in the celebration.
Faculty members and students actively participated in the event, sharing smiles, greetings, and positive energy throughout the occasion. The celebration served as an opportunity to acknowledge the dedication, hard work, and achievements of women in education, healthcare, science, and society. The active involvement of students also reflected the awareness and importance given to gender equality and empowerment in the institution.
To make the day even more enjoyable and memorable, the college organized a lunch outing for faculty members and students. This outing provided everyone with an opportunity to relax, interact informally, and strengthen bonds beyond the classroom environment. The pleasant and cheerful atmosphere during the lunch gathering added warmth to the celebrations and allowed participants to spend quality time together in a spirit of friendship and appreciation.

The event not only celebrated the role of women but also highlighted the importance of creating supportive environments where women can continue to grow, lead, and contribute meaningfully. Through such celebrations, the college reinforces values of inclusiveness, dignity, and equal opportunity for all.
All the women faculty members, staff, and students expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. K. Satyanarayana, Principal, and Dr. L. Harikiran, Vice-Principal, for their valuable support, encouragement, and guidance in successfully organizing the event. Their continuous motivation and leadership played an important role in making the celebration meaningful and successful.
